The Tragedy of Ken McRoyal

Local News that made head lines across the states. Hurricane Katrina took their home and everything they owned other then the clothes on their backs. The family made their way out of the floods to family in Carson, California. While the family made their way back home they left Ken McRoyal in Carson to complete school and continue playing football for Carson high. McRoyal finished high school and went on to El Camino College where he faced sitting out a season due to his grades not being up to par to play. After his mother refused to bring him back to New Orleans, McRoyal went back to college and raised his grades in 2011, earning a way to The University of Idaho. There on financial aid and with the help of an aunt, McRoyal proved himself worthy earning a full scholarship the next semester and earned a walk on spot on the team. He was scheduled to start. McRoyal would never have that chance or the chance to live out his dream of playing in the NFL like other family members have done so. Ken McRoyal was shot in the neck and killed, why? No one is saying, not even his friends. McRoyal has a toddler who will no have her father to watch her grow up and family who will never have a chance to see his dreams come true. Gone way too soon.
